O’Gorman High School – Message from the Principal

Dear O’Gorman Parents & Students:

We celebrate again that God the Father sent His Son to be among us. Like the wise men it is up to us to determine whether or not His coming has significance for us. May you have a happy and Christ-filled New Year!

We have much to be grateful for this past year as we continue on our journey of helping our students grow in spirit, mind, and body. We are also amazed by the ongoing support and commitment given to SFCS staff and students. Your unwavering dedication has allowed us to be successful in producing an outstanding Catholic education based on Gospel values. None of this would be possible without the relationships we have established with our families and supporters. THANK YOU!

HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION:
As we begin our spring semester, students and parents need to be aware of our upcoming registration for the 2014-2015 school year. We encourage parents to communicate and assist their child in the registration process. Registration will begin on Wednesday, February 5th and Thursday, February 6th for incoming freshmen. The online registration window for our current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will open on Tuesday, February 4th and close at 8 a.m. on Monday, February 10th.

SUMMER SCHOOL & DRIVER EDUCATION:
Our summer school schedule will run from Monday, June 2nd to Friday, June 27th.  Summer school is in session from 8 a.m. to Noon.  The final determination for the actual course offerings will depend upon the number of students who register for a particular summer school course.  Registration numbers will drive our decision.  If you are considering a summer school course as an option, please keep in mind that students are not allowed to miss more than two days of summer school.  If this occurs, the student will be removed from the summer school course.

In addition to summer school, we will once again offer driver education.  The classroom portion of the driver education program will run from Monday, May 19th – Friday, May 23rd.  The classroom portion of driver education is thirty hours in length.  Specific dates and times for the driving portion of driver education will be determined at a later date.

“When we once begin to form good resolutions, God gives us every opportunity of carrying them out.”
St John Chrysostom
